SUKKUR: A brawl between two groups of people belonging to the Chachar community left one girl dead and six men and women injured in Bagoro Chachar village within the limits of Adilpur police station of Ghotki district on Saturday.

According Ghulam Mohammad Chachar, his rivals in a longstanding land dispute attacked his family and other relatives with clubs, bricks and other blunt objects causing serious injuries to him and six other persons, Meer, Akbar, Sarwar, two women and a minor girl. He did not name the injured women and girl. Later, he added, the minor girl succumbed to her injuries.

He said his family and relatives carried out a counter-attack forcing the attackers, Rabnawaz, Shafi Mohammad, Zaheer and others, to flee the village.
