KARACHI: Police on Sunday claimed to have busted a gang of suspected car-lifters in North Nazimabad.

The Anti-Vehicles Lifting Cell (AVLC) arrested Shabbir Audh and Shunish Kumar for their alleged involvement in the theft of cars. Four stolen cars and one kilogramme of hashish were recovered from their custody, they said. They said that the held suspects along with their accomplices stole cars from the city and sold the same in Balochistan.

Their four accomplices were arrested in an injured condition in January 2022.

Meanwhile, the Taimuria police claimed to have arrested one suspected carjacker after an ‘encounter’ in the Sakhi Hasan area.
