TAXILA: A man shot and injured his aunt over a domestic dispute in Mohalla Shahabad in the jurisdiction of Attock police station on Tuesday.

Police, while quoting the family of the suspect, said he got into an argument with his aunt, took out his pistol and shot her.

Officials of Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital from where she was shifted to Rawalpindi due to her critical condition. Police have registered an attempted murder case and launched a search for him.

Meanwhile, 11 people including seven gamblers and four proclaimed offenders were arrested.

Sources said a police team raided a gambling den and arrested seven people while they were gambling.

Police seized gambling tools, bet money amounting to Rs20,000 and six mobile phones.

Moreover, four POs identified as Hammad Taj, Barkat Ali, Mohammad Sajjad and Rashid Khan were also arrested.

Furthermore, two masked men snatched cash and a mobile phone at gunpoint from Daim Ali. Cash, valuables and medicines were taken from Imran Hayat’s store. Similarly, two masked men pretending to be customers entered a medical store in Wah model town, held its owner Mirza Rizwan hostage at gunpoint and looted cash and a mobile phone worth Rs100,000.
