Tanker driver killed in landmine blast

DERA MURAD JAMALI: A water tanker driver was killed in a landmine explosion that took place in the Notal-Gandhwah road area of Nasirabad district on Saturday.

Police said the landmine was planted at the under-construction Notal-Gand­hwah road and it exploded when the water tanker hit it.

The driver received multiple injuries and died on the spot.

After receiving information about the incident, pol­ice personnel rushed to the area and shifted the body to the Gandahwa hospital.

The deceased, identified as Mohammad Bahadur Khan Pathan, hailed from Qila Saifullah.

The body was handed over to the victim’s family after the completion of legal formalities.
