SAINDAK is a great copper, gold and silver project, which has been running since 1995. The workers at the project, however, are suffering from shabby treatment. They are sent to quarantine where they are forced to take two tests daily for the purpose of detecting coronavirus symptoms.

One of the company employees, who suffered in quarantine, says they are forced to stay in a room which lacks such basic necessities as furniture, blanket, lights, and, above all, they do not have a glass to drink water. In such a situation, the workers use their palms to drink water from a toilet tap.

It is believed that four workers quit their jobs due to such sub-human conditions. This has brought despondency and financial misery to the families of the employees. Owing to the harsh attitude of the officials, there have even been protests, but to no avail. The authorities concerned should take strong measures to resolve the problems of the employees so that they are able to continue their jobs in a better environment. This will also prove beneficial to the country because Saindak is an important national project.
