MARDAN: The officials of drug control authority raided several medicine shops and stores and seized spurious drugs and medicines meant for government hospitals here on Thursday.

Officials said that the inspection team along with police raided and inspected different shops and stores in Jamal medicine plaza. The team recovered huge quantity of spurious drugs as well as medicines supplied to government health facilities, they added.

They said that the samples of spurious drugs were sent to laboratory in Peshawar for analysis. They added that cases would be registered under Drugs Act, 1976 against the violators.
