PESHAWAR: A man was killed and another wounded when unidentified assailants attacked the clinic of an Ahmadi doctor in the Scheme Chowk area of the provincial capital on Saturday.

The city police confirmed the incident, which took place in the limits of Inqilab police station on Kohat Road.

However, a police official said both the slain and wounded were Muslims and worked at the Ahmadi doctor’s clinic.

A police official told Dawn that the Ahmadi doctor was not at the clinic when the attack took place.

A spokesperson for the Ahmadi community also confirmed the attack. The deceased was identified as Shahid and the wounded as Jawad.
