RAWALPINDI: Former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Member Legislative Assembly Sardar Yaqub said the PPP will fully support the government of AJK Prime Minister Qayyum Niazi.

Addressing a Sadhan education conference in Rawalpindi, Mr Yaqub said ideal steps have been taken for development of AJK by the prime minister.

He said: “I will also raise my voice in favour of Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi on the floor of the assembly. We will strengthen the base camp together with the prime minister.”

Addressing participants of the function, former president retired Gen Sardar Mohammad Anwar Khan said the prime minister belonged to a backward area which was why his becoming the prime minister was very important for such areas.

“I assure PM Niazi that we will stand by his side in every place and will not allow any harm to his government in AJK,” he added.
