TAXILA: The Punjab Minister for Revenue retired Col Mohammad Anwar said every family of Rawalpindi Division would have the facility of ‘Naya Pakistan Health Card’ by the end of March.

Talking to newsmen in Attock, he said under the facility they will be entitled to free of cost medical treatment worth Rs1 million annually.

He said three million families of four districts of Rawalpindi Division including Attock, Jhelum, Rawalpindi and Chakwal will benefit from this programme.

The minister said Rs400 billion had been allocated for the Insaf Health Card Programme in 56 hospitals of Rawalpindi division.

Health Cards are a gift of the government to the poor people, he said. The minister said strengthening of institutions is the top priority of the government as this will help solve problems at the grassroots level.

He said hard work, humanity and patriotism of the Pakistani doctors during the Covid epidemic was commendable.

He said local bodies elections in Punjab would be held in May, which would strengthened democracy, he said. He vowed that the development and prosperity of the people was the first priority of the government and no compromise would be made on this issue.
