BANNU: Robbers intercepted a National Bank cash van near Asparka Chowk in the Domel area here on Tuesday evening and took away over Rs80 million cash, sources said.

They added that the armed men also took away four rifles and a pistol with them. However, the bank employees and the vehicle were left behind unharmed, the sources said.

Meanwhile, a Rescue 1122 emergency medical technician, Saqibur Rahman, reportedly went missing under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday evening.

Sources said he belonged to the Mambati Barakzai area.

Family members stated that his mobile phone was switched off.

In another incident, unidentified armed men allegedly hijacked a vehicle carrying rations for security forces in the Janikhel area.

So far, police have not issued any official statement regarding these incidents, nor has there been any formal confirmation or denial from law enforcement authorities.
