THIS is with reference to the editorial ‘UAE targeted’ (Jan 19) the contents of which overshadow the positive dimensions of relations between the two countries. It ignored the respect the Iranian government has for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of its neighbours, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and its constructive approach to resolve disputes among the countries involved in the Yemen crisis to end this human crisis. The government of Iran is making great efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.

The said editorial accused Iran of supporting the attackers in the UAE without presenting any reason or document even though the United Nations (UN) has confirmed that Iran was not involved in the attack on Aramco oil installations.

Iran and Pakistan enjoy friendly, good-neighbourly relations and the trajectory of the bilateral ties is growing.
