SECURITY PLAN: The police have tightened checking on the try and exit points of Bannu district to ensure smooth conduct of the five-day anti-polio drive, which commenced on Monday, an official said.

He said as part of the security plan for the polio drive, over 2,500 policemen had been deployed to guard polio workers in the district.

“The cops will perform duty with mobile teams and at the fixed centres to enable the health workers to achieve the immunisation of the targeted population without any hindrance,” he maintained.
