LAHORE: A minor boy was injured when a Dolphin Force official opened fire on his in-laws at Nishter Colony on Tuesday.

Police said Azhar, a constable in Dolphin Force, had a dispute with his in-laws and opened fire at them on road. A 10-year-old passerby suffered a bullet wound in the abdomen and was taken to hospital where he was said to be stable.

A police team reached the spot and arrested Azhar and registered a case against him.

DIG Operations Abid Khan also took notice of the incident and directed the Model Town SP to take legal action against the Dolphin Force official. He said strict legal action would be taken against the constable and no one would be treated above the law. He also suspended the constable from service.

FOUND DEAD: A young man was found tortured to death in the Lower Mall police jurisdiction on Tuesday.

Police said Shakeel Ahmad, 40, a resident of Multan, was found dead in the Lower Mall area. Police shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy and started investigation. Police said they were checking the safe city cameras to find out who had placed the body wrapped in blanket on road.
