KARACHI, Nov 22: A private security guard was shot dead by unknown persons in Bin Qasim Town on Tuesday morning. Police said that Allah Jan, 36, resident of Eidhu Goth, was going to work when some unidentified persons shot at him and fled. The victim was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said that deceased hailed from Waziristan and was a former constable of Frontier Constabulary. The victim was later employed as a guard in a private security company. Police suspected some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the killing.

ACCIDENTS: A woman died when she was knocked down by an ambulance in Malir on Tuesday.

Police said that Rukhsana, 45, was standing at the bus stop when an ambulance belonging to a private hospital reportedly taking a reverse knocked

her out. She was taken to a nearby hospital, but died during treatment. Her body was shifted to the JPMC for legal formalities.

A young man was crushed beneath a locomotive at Landhi railway station. Police said that unknown man in his mid 30’s was apparently crossing the railway tracks ahead of an oncoming locomotive when he got crushed beneath it.

His body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities.
