NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Unidentified assailants blew up residential quarters of teachers on the premises of a government girls’ school in Hamzoni Alikhel area near Miramshah, headquarters of North Waziristan tribal district, on the night between Thursday and Friday.

According to locals, the assailants planted explosives to the residential quarters located inside the boundary wall of the government girls’ middle school, Mohammad Sher Kot, in Hamzoni area. The explosives went off during the night and blew the teachers’ living quarters.

No loss of life was reported as nobody was present in the quarters and school at the time of the blast.

The police registered a case against unidentified attackers and have started investigations.
