RAWALPINDI: One person died of Covid-19 in the district on Friday and 15 people were diagnosed with the disease while positivity ratio was recorded at 1.04 percent. Five patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery during the last 24 hours.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Afzal, 81, resident of Gujjar Khan.

As per data shared by the District Health Authority, a total of 1,437 samples were collected out of which 1,422 were declared negative.

There are 107 active patients in the district. As many as 23 patients are in hospitals including six who arrived from other districts and 84 are home isolated.

Two patients each arrived from cantonment, city areas and Potohar Town respectively. Three patients arrived from Taxila while one patient each was from Gujar Khan, Kahuta and Kallar Syedan.

There are 23 Covid-19 patients admitted in different hospitals of Rawalpindi city including six in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, eight in Rawalpindi Institute of Urology, eight in Fauji Foundation Hospital and one patient is in Bilal Hospital.

There are three patients on ventilators in Rawalpindi, 11 are on oxygen support and nine are stable.
