KARACHI, Nov 15: Three alleged kidnappers were killed in an encounter and a kidnapped trader was recovered safely by a joint team of the Anti-Violence Crime Cell and the Citizen-Police Liaison Committee in Surjani Town on Tuesday.

Police said that Naeem was kidnapped for ransom some 22 days back from Sharfabad. The kidnappers called his family and demanded Rs10 million as ransom for his release. The family approached the CPLC and the police following which efforts were carried out to get Naeem released.

On Tuesday, the CPLC and police teams raided a house in Surjani Town where an encounter took place. The police shot dead three suspected kidnappers and their one accomplice fled the scene.

The bodies were taken to a hospital for autopsy where one of the dead was identified as Imran alias Aslam Rambo. Police claimed the recovery of a mouser gun and two TT pistols.
