MARDAN: The three-day sixth international multidiscipline conference started in Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) here on Tuesday.

AWKUM vice-chancellor Prof Dr Zahoorul Haq, its dean Faculty of Life Sciences Prof Dr Sultan Ayaz, Sarhad University VC Prof Dr Saleemur Rehman, MPA Zahir Shah and others attended the event.

On the first day of the conference, three sessions were held which were chaired by Prof Dr Humayun, Prof Dr Niaz Mohammad and Prof Dr Abdul Wadud.A total of 153 papers will be presented in the conference.

Dr Anushka Ataullahjan of University of Toronto, Canada, was the keynote speaker of the session on the first day. In addition, professors from 20 different departments from all over Pakistan are participating in the moot.

Prof Zahoorul Haq said that this time Pakhtunkhwa Economic Policy Research Institute was also participating in this event which would take a close look at the economic policy of the province, analyse its revenue and expenditures and make recommendations.
