KARACHI: A man was found tortured to death in Sohrab Goth on Sunday, officials said.

They said 42-year-old was identified as Abdul Rahim. The body, which bore marks of torture, was recovered near Tandor Karkhana at Al-Asif Square.

The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfil medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old boy was shot at and wounded during aerial firing carried out in jubilation during a marriage ceremony in Ittehad Town on Sunday, police said.

They added that Mohammed Raza was wounded as the bullet fired from his own pistol during celebratory firing hit him.

The injured teenager was taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment and the police were investigating the case.
