KOHAT: A prominent figure of Kohat, Yousuf Shinwari, was shot dead by armed men over an old enmity in Junglekhel area here on Monday.

He was in his orchard near his home when accused Abu Bakar, Nauman, Saifullah and Zubair opened fire at him.

He died instantly, said the family, while lodging case with the police against the attackers.

The deceased was the brother of Badshah Khan alias Gamo, who ruled Kohat for many decades. Police said the murder was the result of an old enmity.

The body was taken to the KDA Teaching Hospital for autopsy. Later, it was handed over to family for burial.
