GILGIT: The newly-appointed Chief Justice of Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court, Justice Ali Baig, called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmad Khan in Islamabad.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday, Justice Gulzar congratulated Justice Baig on assuming the charge of the region’s chief court, and appreciated his services for improving the performance of the GB judiciary.

Justice Gulzar assured that the apex court would provide full guidance and cooperation to the GB judiciary in dispensation of speedy justice to the people.

The CJP also assured to include the GB judiciary in the “Access to Justice” programme.

Justice Baig thanked the CJP and said the provision of cheap and speedy justice to people was his top priority.

Justice Baig also thanked the GB government for extending cooperation to improving the performance of the region’s judiciary.

Registrar GB Chief Court Ghulam Abbas Chopa was also present on the occasion.
