PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Sunday announced establishment of a medical college in Buner, upgradation of Totalai hospital and multiple road projects.

He made the announcement while addressing a public gathering in Buner on Sunday, according to a statement issued here.

He insisted that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf would form the next government in the whole country, including Sindh, on the basis of its performance and public-friendly policies.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan is the only leader working for the bright future of the coming generations. He always urges his team to work for the wellbeing of common men,” Mr Mahmood said.

The chief minister said the provincial government was taking pragmatic steps for welfare of the poor segments of society in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said Sehat Card and Kisan Card schemes were the initiatives launched for welfare of people.

He said the provincial government was also going to introduce Food Card scheme to provide free ration to the poor and deserving people at their doorstep. He said Education Card scheme was also planned to provide financial assistance to deserving and talented students.

Mahmood Khan termed Buner as his second home and said he would go all out for the development and prosperity of the district. He claimed the current wave of inflation was due to the wrong economic policies of the previous governments, and added the incumbent government was going all out to put economy on the right track and control inflation.

Federal minister Murad Saeed, special assistant to CM Riaz Khan and other elected representatives from Buner were also present.

Sarzameen Khan, a noted political personality and district president of PML-N, and former National Assembly candidate Kamran Khan joined the PTI on the occasion.
