HARIPUR: Unknown motorcyclists shot dead a paramedic of a private hospital here on Wednesday, the police said.

The city police officials quoted Bushra Bibi, a resident of Mohallah Babu, as saying that her brother, Jawad Khan, 28, who was serving as a paramedic in a private hospital in the city, was having breakfast at around 7.45 am when someone called him out on his mobile phone. When he went out of his house, two unknown motorcyclists waiting in the street opened fire with pistols, killing him on the spot.

The complainant said her family had no enmity with anyone.

She told the police that she could identify the attackers who, she said, fled after committing the broad daylight murder.
