TAXILA: Body of a 12-year-old boy, who went missing two days ago, was found from a deserted well near Bhotti Pind in the limits of Wah Cantonment police station on Tuesday, police and hospital sources said.

Police, while quoting the family of the deceased, have said that Bilal Nisar went out to play with his friends on Sunday but did not return.

The family kept searching for the boy and on Tuesday some passersby spotted his body in a deserted well and informed police.

Later, Rescue 1222 was called and his body was retrieved and shifted to THQ hospital Taxila. Police said it was premature to conclude that the boy had been assaulted as autopsy report from forensic laboratory Lahore would ascertain the cause of death or sexual assault.

Three killed

Three persons were killed and two others were critically injured in two separate incidents in the limits of Wah Saddar, Hassanabdal and Pindigheb police stations areas on Tuesday.

In the first incident a man died and his wife was injured when a speeding dumper hit his motorcycle on G.T. Road in the limits of Wah Saddar Police station.

In the second incident, a tyre mechanic was killed and his assistant was injured when air pump exploded.

A 14-year-old boy was killed in an accidental fire in his house in the limits of Hassanabdal Police station.

Police sources said that Raja Nayyar was cleaning his pistol when it accidentally went off and a bullet hit his 16-year-old son Raja Fayyaz.

Respective police have registered separate cases and started further investigation.
