Industrial group donates Rs10.79m

ISLAMABAD, Nov 7: Federal Minister for Privatization and Investment Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh on Monday received cheques for Rs10.794 million for the President’s Relief Fund from Muhammad Sohail Tabba of the Yunus Brothers Group of Industries.

According to a press release the contributions made by different companies of the group include Rs5,000,000 by the management and Rs794,572 by employees of Lucky Cement, Rs3,000,000 by the Gadoon Textile Mills Ltd and Rs2,000,000 by Fazal Textile mills Ltd.

Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, who is also chairman of the Cabinet Committee on fund raising from business groups, lauded the contribution and said that it would motivate other business groups and entrepreneurs to come forward and take part in the noble task.
