LAHORE: Punjab has reported 1,784 new cases and 27 deaths, including 10 in Lahore, from the coronavirus over the past 24 hours.

The provincial tally has risen to 403,157 and the death toll to 12,066.

During the period, 23,343 tests were conducted across the province.

Of the fresh cases, 685 were reported in Lahore, 320 in Rawalpindi, 109 in Faisalabad, 82 in Multan, 63 in Rahim Yar Khan, 46 in Okara, 45 in Gujranwala, 44 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 40 in Pakpattan, 38 in Toba Tek Singh, 37 in Khanewal, 27 in Sheikhupura, 26 cases in Sahiwal, 21 each in Bahawalpur and Sialkot, 20 in Jhang, 17 in Chakwal, 15 in Bhakkar, 14 in Jhelum, and 12 in Mianwali.

The overall positivity rate remained 7.6 per cent in the province, including 10.8 in Lahore.
