KARACHI: The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Fede­ration (PBSF) has named two cueists for competing in back-to-back 36th Asian Snooker Champ­ionship and International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) 6-Reds World Cup being held at Qatar next month.

The players selected on the basis of performance and approved requirements for Covid-19 vaccinations advised by the host country for grant of visa are two-time world champion Mohammad Asif and Babar Masih. Haris Tahir has been named as stand-by.

The Asian event will take place from Sept 11 to 16 followed by IBSF 6-Reds from Sept 17-21. A short duration training camp will be held at PSB Coaching Centre, Lahore from Saturday and will be supervised by M.B. Ghouri.
