KOHAT: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Wednesday to have arrested two wanted terrorists belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and seized heavy weapons and huge cash from them.

The terrorists were allegedly involved in the kidnapping of 14 workers of a mobile company when they installing a tower in Kurram district, last month.

A statement issued here said that Azizullah and Mohammad Shoeb were arrested during an operation in Shahu Khel area on the Hangu highway. They hailed from Orakzai tribal district.

The CTD recovered an anti-aircraft gun, a heavy machine gun, three hand grenades, thousands of cartridges, and Rs6.7 million cash.

They were wanted by the police, the security forces, and CTD in different cases.

The terrorists were shifted to an unknown place for further investigation.
