KARACHI: After more than 48-hours of the incident, the Madina Colony police on Tuesday registered an FIR against unknown suspects who attacked a mini-truck with hand grenade in Mowach Goth on August 14 killing 13 people, including women and children, and wounding 10 others.

The FIR was registered on the complaint of Mairaj Muhammad Khan, whose several family members had lost their lives in the attack, under various sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act, Explosive Substance Act and Pakistan Penal Code.

Meanwhile, area people staged a protest on the main Baldia Town road demanding early arrest of the culprits and those who were behind them. “We are assessing every possible aspect of the incident,” said a police official.
