Delayed paper

Published August 5, 2021

THE examinations held by the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK), recently were quite a mess.

The duration of Physics (Part II) paper was two hours, but some students at the Government Degree College for Women, Nazimabad, were given the questions paper by the invigilators quite late. While the rest of the students got the paper at 10.15am, those in rooms 34 and 37 received the paper at 11.30am due to the shortage of question papers at the said centre.

Later, Section B and half of Section C were received, while one of the invigilators wrote Section C on the blackboard due to shortage of time. We were promised to be provided extra time to complete the paper, but when the designated time came, the invigilators at the centre simply snatched the papers from us.

The BIEK should either take our paper again or give us grace marks as it is a matter of our career and future.
