CHITRAL: Three persons, including a woman, died when a passenger coach going to Booni town of Upper Chitral plunged into a ravine in Reshun village here on Saturday morning.

Upper Chitral deputy commissioner Mohammad Ali identified the deceased as Hamid Hussain and Syed Hasan of Booni and Shabana of Charin Oveer.

He said 11 persons, including four women, sustained injuries and were admitted to the district headquarters hospital and Booni Medical Centre. In a similar development, two persons drowned when a car coming from Drosh town plunged into the Chitral River.

Rescue 1122 officials told Dawn that Abdul Shakoor and Adina Khan of Arandu village were missing, while driver Rahim Khan managed to eject from the vehicle.
