ISLAMABAD: The Covid-19 positivity ratio in the capital was 0.9pc as 3,906 tests were conducted in the capital which detected the virus in 39 people — 23 men and 16 women — and 40 people recovered on Thursday.
One person reportedly succumbed to the virus in Rawalpindi district.
Officials of the capital administration said nine cases were reported in the age group of 30-39, followed by eight in 20-29, five in 40-49, four each in 0-9 and 60-69, three each in 10-19 and 70-79, two in 50-59 and one in 80 and above, the officials said, adding five cases were reported from G-11, four from Loi Bher, three each from I-8 and Model Town, two each from G-9, G-7, Khanna, and E-11, one each from Bhara Kahu, Tarlai, G-10, G-6, G-13, Kurri, F-8, F-6 and G-5.
Addresses of seven cases are not known, they added.
Meanwhile, one person died due to Covid-19 in Rawalpindi district and 27 tested positive.
The deceased was identified as Shaheen Bibi, 45, brought to Fauji Foundation Hospital on June 23.
There are 160 active patients in the district. As many as 30 patients are in the hospitals including 11 who arrived from other districts and 130 patients are home isolated.
As many as 22 patients arrived from the garrison city including 14 from cantonment, three from Potohar Town and five from Rawal Town. Three patients arrived from Kahuta, one from Gujar Khan, two patients arrived from AJK and one each from Attock and Islamabad.
Ten patients are admitted in Holy Family Hospital, two in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), 12 in Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU) and 10 patients are in Fauji Foundation Hospital (FFH).
There are two patients on ventilators in Rawalpindi, 22 are on oxygen support and 10 are stable.
