THE provincial government’s plan to turn the Hyderabad Badminton Hall into a Covid vaccination centre is rather unfair as it is the only public facility in the city to which the local youths have access in terms of sports and recreational activities without having to pay hefty fee.
There is no denying that vaccination centres are equally important, but the government can establish them at any other place in the city.
In a country where more than 90 per cent of the youths do not have access to any sports facilities, the government should at least not snatch away what little is available. The relevant authorities are requested not to close the said facility by turning it into a vaccination centre.
