TAXILA: Police apprehended 41 proclaimed offenders (POs) in May wanted in heinous crimes.

Besides, they also recovered 69 different weapons, 45kg hashish, 112 liters liquor, thousands of kites and kite flying string rolls and arrested 110 people.

According to district police spokesman SI Tahir Iqbal, Attock Police also busted six different gangs involved in different crimes including robbery, snatching and lifting of vehicles and arrested their 18 members besides recovering looted items worth over Rs2.40 million.

The spokesman said POs were wanted in various heinous crimes including murder, attempted murder and abduction.

He said that district Police officer Khalid Hamdani had appreciated the performance of SHOs and investigating teams and awarded commendation certificates besides directing them to accelerate operations against anti-social elements.
