SUKKUR: The Sukkur bench of the Sindh High Court has retained its remarks made during the course of the hearing of a case against provincial minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo that he “is no longer Sadiq and Ameen”.

The bench upheld the remarks in its decision on an application filed by Sindh government seeking a review of the remarks. The decision on the application, which was earlier reserved, was announced on Friday.

The decision said that in case of harassment, an officer could complain against any minister to the Election Commission of Pakistan under Article 62.

The court ordered restoration of reader Saleem Shah and ASI Manzoor Gopang of the Anti-Corruption Establishment and directed that no person be transferred from ACE Sukkur till completion of inquiry into corruption in the funds of Ghotki municipal committee, the original case against the minister.

The court issued show-cause notice to chairman of Enquiries and Anti-Corruption, asking that why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against him. It suspended both orders which were passed by the chairman.
