DERA GHAZI KHAN: Nadra has decided to register potential beneficiaries of Ehsaas programme and desks and centres will be established in 12 districts of south Punjab.

In order to achieve objectives of prime minister’s Ehsaas programme Nadra has been asked to establish registration centres in 12 districts of southern Punjab for socioeconomic profiling and enrolment of potential beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries will be eligible for government assistance in various programmes if they meet the criteria.

Deputy Commissioner retired Capt Muhammad Ali Ejaz told Dawn that registration centres would be established in Dera Ghazi Khan, Taunsa, Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Vehari, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur.

He said exercise would be carried out by collecting data in these centres and subsequently validation for precise socioeconomic profiling.

He said appropriate buildings in Taunsa Sharif and Dera Ghazi Khan for setting up the registration centres had been handed over to Nadra.

He said the process of registration of eligible potential beneficiaries would continue for five months.
