DERA MURAD JAMALI: Police on Wednesday held a flag march in Dera Murad Jamali to ensure peace in Nasirabad district during celebration of Eidul Fitr.

Nasirabad Deputy Commissioner Azhar Shahzad, District Police Officer Abdul Hayee Aamir Baloch and Assistant Commissioner Hadeeba Jamali jointly led the flag march.

The personnel of police and other law-enforcement agencies passed through all main roads of the headquarters of Dera Murad Jamali division.

Speaking at the end of flag march, the deputy commissioner said the march was arranged to restore confidence of the people that law enforcement forces were at high alert and ready to combat any situation. “We have taken all possible steps to ensure peace and order during Eid celebrations,” he said.

Mr Shahzad said that the steps had also been taken to ensure implementation of standard operation procedures to protect the people from coronavirus.

He appealed to the masses to wear face mask and take extra care while performing Eid prayers.
