KARACHI: In Surjani Town, the police found the partially burnt body of a woman.

Officials said that the body was spotted in Block 4 of Kaneez Fatima Housing Society at a desolate place.

Investigators immediately called the crime scene unit and forensic team and later the body was moved to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Smuggling bid foiled

The Pakistan Customs on Tuesday claimed to have foiled a smuggling bid of electronic items worth Rs9.4 million and arrested two suspects from Karachi airport.

In a statement, a Customs spokesman said that the

two suspects, Mohammad Sufyan and Wasi Haider, coming from Dubai, were searched over suspicion. “During checking, customs officials recovered 16 iPhone, eight makbox, two PlayStations and 36 Rado watches.
