According to a report of World Health Organisation, four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are on top of the list of endemic areas in the country.

According to the report, Mardan has 30.6 per cent positivity rate, Peshawar 23.9, Swat 19.4 and Nowshera has 18.1 per cent positivity rate. These four are among the 17 most infected districts in the country.

Case fatality rate (CFR) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 2.7 per cent case against the national 2.16 per cent. CFR in Mardan and Abbottabad is 4.1 per cent, in Swabi 3.7 per cent, in Peshawar is 3.6 per cent and in Swat is 3.3 per cent.

Overall positivity rate in the province is 7.3 per cent against the nationally recorded 9 per cent but the positivity in high-risk districts is higher, according to the report.
