LAHORE: Twenty-six emerging women cricketers will report on Saturday to attend the PCB training camp being held at the DHA Sports Club Moin Khan Academy in Karachi from April 24, after completing the seven-day quarantine period.

The cricketers will undergo skills and fitness training during the camp being held under the supervision of the National Women High Performance Centre.

Head coach David Hemp, who is currently conducting a camp for the emerging women players at the same venue, will take charge of this camp once it commences on April 24, following a seven-day quarantine period for the players in a Karachi hotel from April 17-23.

In accordance with PCB’s Covid-19 protocols, all those involved in the camp will require to undergo two tests before their integration into the bio-secure environment.

The first test will be held at the players’ respective residence before their departure for the camp and those who return negative tests will undergo second test on April 17 upon their arrival in Karachi. A third test will be conducted at the end of the seven-day quarantine. The camp concludes on May 8.
