Sindh has reported 653 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours — the highest daily caseload since Jan 31 when the province confirmed 812 infections.

According to an update shared by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah's office, the provincial tally of cases has risen to 270,963.

Moreover, eight more people died from Covid-19, taking the total number of fatalities to 4,541.

Meanwhile, 12,982 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the 24-hour period, the update stated.
