Pakistan has reported more than 5,000 coronavirus cases two days in a row. During the last 24 hours, 5,312 people tested positive after 54,948 tests were conducted.
The country also reported 105 fatalities during this period. The positivity rate currently stands at 9.9 per cent.
Breakdown of cases and deaths reported:
- Punjab: 2,711 cases, 58 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 1,248 cases, 34 deaths
- Islamabad: 674 cases, 6 deaths
- Sindh: 358 cases, 1 death
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 196 cases, 5 deaths
- Balochistan: 98 cases, 1 death
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 27 cases
