The Sindh health department will begin vaccinating prisoners over the age of 50 years against Covid-19 from Wednesday, April 7.
The vaccination drive is designed to specifically benefit the prison population as it constitutes a "highly vulnerable and neglected" section of society, the health department said in a statement.
In total, as many as 2,532 prisoners will be inoculated across the province.
