TAXILA: Three people died while four others were injured in various parts of Attock on Saturday, police and rescue services said.

A man stabbed his brother to death and injured his sister-in-law over a land dispute in the jurisdiction of Hazro Police station.

On Saturday, the suspect came to his brother’s house and during an argument attacked his brother, Ahmed and sister-in-law.

Both victims were taken to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital where Ahmed passed away. His wife has been shifted to Rawalpindi due to her critical injuries.

In the second incident, security guards of a feed company shot a man, suspecting him to be a robber on Islamabad-Peshawar motorway near Burhan interchange in the jurisdiction of Bhattar Police station.

Sources said three armed men came to a feed factory, held all employees hostage at gunpoint and escaped after taking cash from them. As the robbers were chased, they went towards Islamabad-Peshawar motorway.

Meanwhile, 33-year-old Faisal, who was going to Mansehra from Rawalpindi saw cash on the road and stopped to collect it; the guards shot him, suspecting he was one of the robbers.

Abdul Basit, brother of the victim, said that the Bhattar police kept his brother in custody for three hours with a bullet injury and did not shift him to a hospital which is why he passed away.

He said the police, when the family came to receive the body, kept them in illegal confinement.

Separately, a motorcyclist died after being hit by a speeding dumper on G.T. Road. Furthermore, four persons from the same family were injured, one of them critically, when a truck rammed into a car on Rawalpindi-Kohat road in the jurisdiction of Fatehjang Police station.

The injured were identified as 42-year-old Shahdat Nawaz, 22-year-old Akash Shahdat, 12-year-old Ayesha Shahdat and 16-year-old Farooq.
