LAHORE: The Punjab government on Saturday issued transfer and posting orders of 10 senior police officers.

According to the notification available withDawn, Logistics and Procurement Additional Inspector General (Addl IG) Ali Aamir Malik was transferred and posted as the Addl IG (establishment) on the superannuation of Azhar Hameed Khokhar.

Punjab Highway Patrol Addl IG Shahid Hanif was transferred and posted as Addl IG (logistics and procurement), Addl IG Akram Naeem Bharoka was posted as the Punjab Highway Patrol Addl IG and Elite Police Addl IG Farooq Mazhar was transferred and posted as Addl IG (welfare and finance).

Riaz Nazir Gara, awaiting posting, was posted as the Elite Police deputy inspector general (DIG) on a vacant post.

The notification further states that Punjab Telecommunication and Transport DIG Abdul Kareem was transferred and posted as the Gujranwala regional police officer, relieving Sarfraz Ahmad Falki of the additional charge of the post. Punjab Investigation Branch DIG (Investigation and Monitoring) Munir Masood Marth was transferred and posted as the Multan city police officer against an existing vacancy; Mehboob Rashid Mian, awaiting posting, was posted as the DIG (investigation and monitoring).

Special Branch Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jehanzaib Nazir Khan has been promoted to BS-20 on regular basis and upon the promotion, transferred and posted as the Special Branch DIG (admin and security) on an existing vacancy. SSP Syed Muhammad Amin has been promoted to BS-20 and transferred and posted as the DIG (telecommunication and transport).
