KARACHI: Karachi Basketball Club beat Mumba Club Karsaz 57-51 in a thrilling contest at the ongoing Malik Shahid Hamid Shaheed basketball tournament at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir courts on Wednesday.

Daniyal Ahmed and Raj Kumar Lakhwani were brilliant on the court for the winners and scored 20 points each to have the opponents on the backfoot. Hasan Murad also scored 10 points.

For the losing side, the main scorer was Hasan Ali (16 points) supported by Bahzad Raza (14 pts) and Danish Iqbal (13 pts).

Meanwhile, Col Waqas Qureshi of Rangers 44-wing has consented to be the chief guest at the girls and boys Pakistan Day basketball event after KBBA president Ghulam Mohammad formally requested him to do the honours.
