500,000 Covid-19 vaccines donated by China arrive in Pakistan

Half a million coronavirus vaccines donated by China have arrived in Pakistan, according to a spokesperson for the health ministry.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr Faisal Sultan was present to receive the batch of vaccines at Nur Khan Airbase. "China has always supported Pakistan during difficult times," the PM's aide said, extending his gratitude to the Chinese government.

According to Chinese state broadcaster CGTN, this is the second batch donated following an earlier lot that arrived on February 1.
