Punjab has recorded a high of 1,653 new coronavirus infections, marking the first time since June that the province reported more than 1,600 daily infections.
The provincial caseload has risen to 185,468.
Punjab also recorded 21 more deaths, taking its total number of fatalities to 5,753 — the highest in Pakistan.
