TAXILA: The Attock district administration retrieved illegally occupied land and cleared right of way in Pindigheb, Fatehjang and Attock city.

According to Deputy Commissioner Ali Annan Qammar, Pindigheb Assistant Commissioner Haider Abbas recovered three kanal and 17 marla land from illegal possession with an estimated market price of Rs38.50 million.

He said the local land mafia had sold plots to locals which were allocated for graveyard.

He further said that a team of local administration had demolished encroachments in Mirza village as it was obstructing access of the public to a local school, dispensary and other government offices on the road constructed by the public health engineering department.

The department also lodged a case against the encroachment mafia at a local police station.

In another operation, Fatehjang Assistant Commissioner Shaukat Azeem demolished structures of an illegal housing society, besides sealing its site office.

He said the housing society was located in mouza Thatti Gujran on Ratwal road Fatehjang.

The structure of a housing society located near Sanjwal in Attock was also demolished and its office was also sealed accordingly.
