TAXILA: Two people died while another was injured in three incidents in Attock on Monday.

In the first incident, a man was allegedly strangled to death by his son in village Yaseen in the jurisdiction of Hazro police station.

Police said Banaras Khan, a local trader, was in litigation with his wife and their case was being heard by a local family court.

In the early hours of Monday, Khan’s body with torture marks was recovered from his house and later shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.

The deceased’s son was taken into custody, they added.

Furthermore, a six-year-old boy identified as Mohammad Zubair, died after being hit by a tractor in the jurisdiction of Pindigheb police station.

Police said the tractor driver was leveling a plot when the vehicle’s brakes failed and hit the child.

Respective police have registered separate cases and started further investigation.

Moreover, a motorcyclist was injured critically when his vehicle crashed into a Suzuki van near Haji Shah village in the jurisdiction of Attock police station.

Rescue sources said 21-year-old Owais Khan lost control over his vehicle and hit the van. He was taken to District Headquarters Hospital from where he was shifted to Rawalpindi due to his critical condition.
